NCC 2010 PRIMARY ELECTION ENDORSEMENTS

BE AN INFORMED VOTER ..... THEN VOTE YOUR VALUES
The NCC Board has spent many weeks identifying the best candidate in as many races as possible ~ the one who best understands the source of our unalienable rights and the proper balance and limits of government ~ works to strengthen and not undermine the traditional family ~ respects life ~ has the character, ability and ethics to do the job ~ is honest about their views and accessible to the citizens ~ and who by their own hard work and effective campaigning has earned the right to ask others for their support.

To accomplish this task we have:

  • Reviewed public records and experience when possible.
  • Evaluated answers to written questions.
  • Held serious personal interviews to explore the candidates' knowledge, understanding and commitment to correct principles of good government.

We use seven different questionnaires based on the office being sought. Refer to our Values Voter Guide  to review the questions and see how the candidates responded. Our values are clearly reflected in these questions.

Once we have evaluated the response to our questionnaire and completed the interview, we then rate the candidate on the following criteria:

   1. Intensity of Pro-Life and Traditional Family Values
   2. Understands the proper role of government based on constitutional principles
   3. Understands a wide range of issues
   4. Uses/likely to use wisdom in making the decisions appropriate to the office
   5. Proper use of power (not for personal gain, intimidation etc.)
   6. Ability to work with others and encourage colleagues to make wise decisions
   7. Electability; running a good working campaign

An NCC Endorsement means that a candidate closely meets our values and criteria.

A Recommendation means that a candidate is the best available, yet may have differences in some areas.
